here to serve you
Gloria Mann, LPC-S
founder of juniper counseling
Gloria was born and raised in New York. She became interested in counseling when she first volunteered at an inner-city program in high school. Gloria earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the University of Rochester and after deciding she could no longer deal with snowy days, she moved to Austin to earn a Master of Education in Counselor Education from the University of Texas at Austin. As someone who has enjoyed helping others, counseling is the perfect fit for her. She desires to create a safe environment for each client to authentically be themselves and feel proud of how their journey has shaped them. She integrates her understanding of cultural nuances into her practice, supporting clients through various life stages. Gloria has grown to love Austin and call it home, even on those hot Texas summer days. When not trying to wrangle her child, Gloria enjoys being in nature, finding fun places to travel, exploring different types of food, and spending time with friends and family.

Rebacca Chia, LPC-Associate
supervised by Gloria Mann, LPC-S
Rebacca grew up in Louisiana and eagerly awaits crawfish season each year. She has considered Texas home since graduating from UT-Austin where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. She has lived in Austin, Waco, Dallas, and recently moved to Houston. Her time spent in a non-profit organization working with young adults regarding identity, culture, career, spirituality, and family/relational dynamics drew Rebacca to the meaningful work of becoming a therapist. She earned her M.S. in Counseling from Southern Methodist University. Rebacca is here to compassionately collaborate with you to explore beliefs and behaviors, sources of pain and resilience, and develop new ways of being so you can live in clarity and connection—with yourself and with others. On most days, you can find Rebacca making plans with family and friends, cuddling her dog, and asking her husband hypothetical questions.
